Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS)

Booth 1

The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS) is a network of over 320 entities committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The Alliance promotes the development of a culture of sustainability at all levels, orienting lifestyles, public opinion and production and consumption models in this direction and analyses the implications and opportunities for Italy related to SDGs. ASviS will illustrated its regular activities and its 2024 Annual Report, which was presented in October.

Strengthening Wellbeing Economy in Finland

The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, an independent state-owned expert and research institute that operates under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, was tasked in 2022 with developing a knowledge-based proposal for Finland to integrate wellbeing indicators and Wellbeing Economy approach into national level decision-making. In the Exhibition, we presented the preliminary results for the first time and showcasing Finland’s efforts in the Wellbeing Economy more broadly.

Fast Forward Foundation – Philanthropic Entity

Integrated welfare involves developing services tailored to individual needs as they evolve through the different stages of life, integrating different areas of welfare, not only to optimise resource allocation, but also to facilitate access to a full range of services and address existing challenges in welfare systems. The Fast Forward Foundation booth aimed help build a new generation welfare with us.

Proudly created by the Wellbeing Economy Alliance, Doughnut Economics Action Lab and ZOE Institute, funded by P4NE.

EU Horizon initiatives; paving sustainable and inclusive societal transformations across Europe

Booth 7

MERGE, FITTER, ST4TE and READJUST are four EU-funded projects, each dedicated to fostering just transitions, reducing inequality, and promoting sustainable and inclusive well-being across Europe. Each project showcases a different approach to addressing inequalities and well-being issues, ranging from co-creation workshops with policy-makers, academics and citizens, to the development of indicators and digitals tools to support decision-making processes.

European Environment Agency

Booth 8

The European Environment Agency (EEA) delivers knowledge and data to support Europe's environment, climate and sustainability goals and inform decision-makers and the public. We support policy development and key global processes, in collaboration with our partner network, Eionet. Fairness and the just transition, central to a wellbeing economy, are key priorities in the mandate of the new European Commission and are essential pillars of the green transition of Europe towards sustainability. 

Eat Well, Live Well 

Booth 9

In line with its workshop, “Cooking and eating together: Exploring the connection between well-being and food”, Ajinomoto brought the concept into action with its “Eat Well, Live Well” booth. Raising awareness of Ajinomoto’s research and analysis on ‘Eating Together’ with Gallup and Oxford University, the booth acted as a small convening/networking space, sensitising participants on the well-being benefits of taking time to eat with others. Ajinomoto also presented its seasoning products, including its original AJI-NO-MOTO product that attendees will be able to try for a taste of umami. 

WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development (Venice, Italy) 

Booth 10

The WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development (Venice, Italy) is supporting Member States to build the political commitment and implementation capacities for a well-being economy approach, with healthy societies and equity at the centre, while identifying and making investments with positive returns. The booth shared strategies for generating new revenue and allocating resources to foster healthier and more equitable societies – benefiting both people and economies. 

World Happiness Report 

Booth 11

The World Happiness Report is the world’s foremost publication on global wellbeing and how to improve it. We combine global data from over 140 countries with high-quality analysis by world-leading researchers from a range of academic disciplines. The report is published by the University of Oxford’s Wellbeing Research Centre in partnership with Gallup, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and our Editorial Board.

Wellbeing in Australia – WellRes UC

Booth 12

The Wellbeing and Resilience (WellRes) Unit at the University of Canberra, Australia, is part of a network of organisations engaged in building wellbeing into policy and action in Australia. At our booth participants found out more about wellbeing measurement and monitoring in some of Australia’s largest surveys, as well as how we are working to support a number of wellbeing frameworks and initiatives in Australia

Happier Lives Institute

Booth 13

At the Happier Lives Institute, we conduct rigorous research to identify the most cost-effective ways to improve global wellbeing. We advise donors on how to make the biggest difference, and offer research consultancy services to policymakers, governments, and organisations seeking evidence-based strategies to enhance quality of life. At our booth we displayed our latest findings on how we can help you make data-driven decisions that improve people’s lives.

Green European Foundation and Institute for European Environmental Policy

Booth 14

The Green European Foundation (GEF) and the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) have long been working on alternative economics resulting in a number of outputs which were displayed at the forum. GEF and IEEP are now gathering a community of experts and stakeholders to derive knowledge on how to advance towards a wellbeing economy in Europe and beyond. It will be the first time they share and discuss with a broader public their preliminary findings.

GUIDE 

Booth 15

Growing Up in Digital Europe will be Europe’s first comparative birth cohort study of children’s and young people’s wellbeing. The GUIDE study will track youth wellbeing and psychosocial development, in combination with key indicators of youth’s homes, neighbourhoods, and schools, across European Member States and Associated Countries. The harmonised design will create the first internationally comparable, nationally representative, longitudinal study of children and young people in Europe.
