7th OECD World Forum on Well-Being

On 5 November the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance will host a musical performance celebrating Giacomo Puccini and other Italian well-known composers at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.

In 2024, as Italy and the world commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Giacomo Puccini's passing, participants of the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being will be able to enjoy an exclusive concert that celebrates Italian musical heritage. The programme will feature a unique blend of classical elements reimagining Puccini's famous arias, as well as works by other Italian composers spanning from classical to contemporary repertoires. The event will also pay homage to Maestro Ennio Morricone, to whom the venue is dedicated. 
The event is hosted by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and is organised under the Italian Presidency of the G7. It is an all-female artistic performance aimed at celebrating the beauty of song and the power of music while also highlighting the various nuances of femininity, including the charm and elegance of Made in Italy.

Musical performance

The opening performance will feature an Italian artist and vocalist and her band, presenting interpretations of Giacomo Puccini's most famous opera pieces. Through her careful research and deep respect for Puccini's work, the artist has courageously reimagined these classic compositions, blending classical elements to create a unique and innovative musical experience.

Following the opening performance, an all-female ensemble of four sopranos and four acoustic musicians, will take the stage. This talented group will present a captivating programme featuring famous opera arias, melodies from various musical genres, and soundtracks by Maestro Ennio Morricone, to whom the Auditorium is dedicated.

Eight musicians and women who have united their passion for contemporary music, the ensemble has carefully curated their repertoire and refined their sound to create a harmonious and original fusion. The concert will take audiences on a sentimental journey, beginning with well-known classical pieces and progressing to world-famous Italian repertoire.
